Asus officially confirmed its exit from the smartphone market in January, but apparently that doesn’t apply to tablets. Today a new leak brings us our first look at the upcoming Asus Pad with some nice-looking renders.
As you can see, the bezels are reasonably thin for a tablet. The Asus Pad is rumored to sport a 12.2-inch dual-layer OLED screen (think Apple’s Tandem OLED and you get the idea) with a 144Hz refresh rate. There will be support for Dolby Vision as well as Dolby Atmos.
The Asus Pad will have a 9,000 mAh battery which will support fast charging, though the exact spec hasn’t been revealed. The device will weigh 523g and will be 6.5mm thin.

Unsurprisingly, Asus will also offer a first-party case for the Pad, which will help prop it up like a stand. You can see it above. This is all the information about the Asus Pad that has been leaked today. We assume we’ll find out more about it in the coming days and weeks. It’s still unclear when it’s launching or why Asus is even developing it. We’ll let you know when we find out more.
