Maruti Suzuki marked its entry in two new segments this year with the launch of the eVitara electric midsize SUV and the WagonR flex fuel hatchback. Several new Maruti models are currently in the pipeline, which are currently doing test rounds and slated to arrive by the end of 2026. Recently, the test mules of the Maruti Brezza facelift, Baleno facelift and an all-new three-row electric MPV (codenamed YMC) were caught on camera together.
Maruti Brezza Facelift
The 2026 Maruti Brezza facelift will receive noticeable design and feature enhancements along with a new powertrain. According to reports, the subcompact SUV could be offered with Fronx’s 1.0L turbo petrol engine, paired to a new 6-speed manual gearbox. The existing naturally aspirated petrol engine and the CNG will continue to be on offer. However, the latter might get an underbody-mounted CNG tank.
Maruti Baleno Facelift
Minimal cosmetic updates are expected for the new 2026 Maruti Baleno facelift. Spy shots suggest that the hatchback will featrue a redesigned front fascia with a sleeker grille and slightly repositioned fog lamps. Inside, it might offer a new cabin theme and trims along with some additional features.
Under the hood, the new Baleno will continue to feature the existing 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol engine that’s good for 90bhp and 113Nm. Transmission options will also remain unchanged. The CNG version could adopt an underbody CNG tank layout similar to the Victoris.
Maruti YMC EV
The upcoming Maruti electric MPV will derive several design elements from the Maruti eVitara. The spied prototype features upright front and rear sections with boxy silhouette. Other key highlights include headlamps with a drop-down element, large aero-optimized alloy wheels with active aero flaps, conventional pull-type door handles and vertically positioned taillamps.
The Maruti YMC MPV is likely to share its skateboard platform and powertrain options with the Maruti eVitara, which is currently available with a 49kWh and 61kWh battery pack options.
