If you’re planning to buy a three-row family car, it might be worth waiting a little longer as three new MPVs (multi-purpose vehicles) are set to launch in the next two months. Nissan India is set to unveil the Gravite MPV, based on the Renault Triber, on 17th February, while Mercedes-Benz V-Class will make a comeback on 3rd March. The upcoming lineup also includes an electric MPV from Vinfast, called the Limo Green. Here’s a brief overview of these upcoming 7-seater family cars.
Nissan Gravite
Expected Prices – Rs 6 – 9 lakh

The forthcoming Nissan Gravite will share its platform, powertrain, features and components with the Renault Triber. However, the MPV will carry Nissan’s design language, featuring a new V-Motion front grille, sporty bumper with silver highlights, a ‘GRAVITE’ badge on the bonnet, headlamps with twin-strip LED DRLs and new alloys.
The latest teaser confirms that the Gravite will offer an all-black interior with begie inserts on the doors, a dashboard with chrome accents, three-spoke steering with mounted controls and several other features. Under the hood, the new Nissan family car is expected to house a 1.0L naturally aspirated petrol engine that’s good enough for 72bhp and 96Nm.
Vinfast Limo Green
Expected Prices – Rs 18 – 25 lakh
Vietnamese electric carmaker will introduce the Limo Green electric MPV in February 2026. However, it’s official launch date has not yet been announced. When launched, it will take on the BYD eMax7 and Kia Carens Clavis EV.
Similar to its global-spec version, the India-bound Vinfast Limo Green is likely to feature a 60.13kWh battery pack, paired with a front-axle mounted electric motor, pushing out power worth 201bhp and 280Nm of torque. The battery pack takes just 30 minutes to charge from 10 to 70% by using a 80kW DC fast charger. With this setup, the Vinfast Limo Green offers a claimed NEDC range of 450km on a single charge.
Mercedes-Benz V-Class
Expected Prices – Rs 1 crore onwards
Globally, the Mercedes-Benz V-Class is offered with a 2.0L diesel engine, available in two states of tune – 163bhp with 380Nm (220d) and 237bhp with 500Nm (300d). Both variants are available with AWD and RWD drivetrain options. While the luxury MPV is also available with an electric powertrain globally, the India-bound model is unlikely to get the electric setup.
The V-Class might come with both 6 and 7-seats layouts, packed with features such as twin-screens, three-spoke steering, a 360-degree camera, wireless smartphone connectivity, connected car tech, keyless entry, ambient lighting, powered sliding doors, ADAS and more.
