The new Renault Duster 2026 is set to hit showrooms in March. Bookings for the SUV are already underway nationwide at a token amount of Rs 21,000. Full prices and variant details will be announced by mid-March. In its new-generation avatar, the Duster aims to reclaim its lost position in the midsize SUV segment that’s currently dominated by models such as Hyundai Creta, Kia Selots, Maruti Grand Vitara and Tata Sierra.
Price Expectations
Prices of the all-new Duster are expected to start around Rs 10 lakh for the entry-level variant, while the fully-loaded variant will cost nearly Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom). Deliveries are slated to begin in April, 2026.
If launched in this price bracket, the 2026 Renault Duster will undercut the entry-level variants of the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos, which are available at Rs 10.79 lakh and 10.99 lakh, respectively. The top trim of the Creta and Seltos are currently priced at Rs 20.20 lakh and Rs 19.99 lakh, respectively.

Strong Hybrid Coming By Diwali 2026
Interestingly, the new Renault Duster lineup will come with two turbocharged petrol engine options – a 163bhp, 1.3L and 100bhp, 1.0L. A 6-speed manual gearbox will be standard across the range, while a 6-speed DCT automatic will be exclusively offered with the larger 1.3L turbo petrol engine. Renault has confirmed that a strong hybrid variant will join the lineup by Diwali 2026.
Most Powerful Hybrid In the Segment
The new Duster hybrid will feature a 1.8L, four-cylinder petrol engine, paired with a 49bhp electric motor, a 1.4kWh battery pack and a 20bhp hybrid starter generator (HSG). This setup delivers a combined power output of 160bhp and 172Nm of torque. It will be the most powerful hybrid SUV in its segment, outperforming rivals such as the Maruti Grand Vitara, Maruti Victoris and Toyota Hyryder, which use a 1.5 petrol hybrid powertrain producing a claimed power of 116bhp and 172Nm.
