OpenAI is positioning Images 2.0 as a full replacement for dedicated image editing apps, too, as it can remove backgrounds, transform aspect ratios and output up to eight images simultaneously in 2K resolution.

Images 2.0 is available to all ChatGPT users, while the “Images with thinking” mode is exclusive to Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise tier plans.
