DJI Osmo Pocket 4 brings new 1” sensor, larger touchscreen and built-in storage

DJI’s latest flagship gimbal camera is now official, and it brings a host of improvements over the Osmo Pocket 3, which came out back in 2023. Osmo Pocket 4 gets an all-new 20 mm equivalent 1-inch CMOS sensor (f/2.0), which supports up to 4K/240fps slow-motion video capture, with 14 stops of dynamic range and 10-bit D-Log mode shooting.

It can take 37MP still photos with a maximum resolution of 7,680 × 4,320 px in 16:9 mode with support for DNG RAW and manual exposure at up to 4 seconds. Pocket 4 also brings updated 2x lossless zoom at 4K resolution and a new 4x zoom mode for 1080p. For normal video recording, Pocket 4 supports up to 4K resolution at 24/25/30/48/50/60fps.

Pocket 4 features 3-axis stabilization and supports DJI’s ActiveTrack 7.0, which now supports subject tracking at 4× zoom. You also get Spotlight Follow and Dynamic Framing modes with support for people, animals, vehicles and even specific faces. DJI also added 6 new film tone filters.

Osmo Pocket 4 features an updated 2.0-inch OLED touchscreen with 556 x 314px resolution and up to 1,000 nits peak brightness, which should be noticeably brighter than the 700 nits one on the Pocket 3. The display can switch between horizontal and vertical orientations.

DJI also added new controls with a dedicated zoom button for switching between 1x and 2x modes. There’s also a custom preset button that can quickly launch preset settings, as well as a 5D joystick with varying speeds.

Pocket 4 brings 107GB built-in storage with up to 800MB/s transfer speeds and supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth LE 5.4 connectivity.

There’s a 1,545 mAh battery, which is rated at up to 240 minutes of 1080p/24fps recording according to DJI. It can recharge from 0-80% in 18 minutes when plugged to a 65W charger, while a full top-up takes 32 minutes.

Osmo Pocket 4 is priced at €499/£445 for the Standard Combo version in Europe and €619/£549 for the Creator Combo bundle, which includes the DJI Mic 3 Transmitter, a fill light, a wide-angle lens, and an Osmo Mini tripod.
