Mahindra & Mahindra is planning major updates for its popular SUVs this year. While the new Mahindra XUV 7XO (XUV700 facelift) recently went on sale with significant design and feature upgrades, the carmaker has confirmed two more updated SUV models slated to arrive soon. The latest sightings suggest that these upcoming models will be the Scorpio Classic, Scorpio N and Thar 3-door facelifts.
Furthermore, the Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9e electric SUVs are expected to receive a new 70kWh battery pack from the XEV 9S. Here’s a brief of these upcoming Mahindra SUVs.
Mahindra Scorpio Classic/Scorpio N Facelifts

The new 2026 Mahindra Scorpio N facelift is expected to derive several design elements and features from the Thar Roxx. The SUV might get a newly-designed grille, revised headlamps with LED DRL signature, redesigned bumpers, and new alloys.
Features such as a larger touchscreen infotainment system, Dolby Atmos tech, a panoramic sunroof, digital driver’s display and Level 2 ADAS could be part of the package. The updated Scorpio N will continue to come with the 2.0L turbo petrol and 2.2L turbo diesel engines, along with manual and automatic gearbox options.
The updated Scorpio Classis is likely to receive minimal changes inside and out, inspired by the Scorpio N. Mechanically, the SUV is expected to remain unchanged.
Mahindra Thar Facelift
The highly popular Mahindra Thar 3-door is set for another midlife update, which is likely to launch in the coming months. Spy images reveal that the SUV will come with a slightly redesigned grille, circular LED headlamps with C-shaped DRLs, new alloy wheels and revised LED taillamp signature.
On the feature front, the SUV lineup might gain ventilated front seats, automatic climate control, auto dimming IRVM, auto folding ORVMs, keyless entry with push-button start and Level 2 ADAS. Under the hood, the 2026 Mahindra Thar facelift will continue to feature the 2.0L turbo petrol, 1.5L diesel and 2.2L diesel engines.
Mahindra BE 6/XEV 9e 70kWh Variants
The 2026 Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9e electric SUV will borrow a new 70kWh battery pack from the XEV 9S 7-seater EV. This battery pack comes paired with a 245bhp electric motor, delivering an ARAI-rated range of up to 600km on a single change. The performance figures for the BE6 and XEV 9e are likely to remain same. No other changes are expected for these EVs.
