Gemini can now troubleshoot your Pixel 11 device

Google is now testing a “Device help” tool for the Pixel 11 series that is powered by Gemini. It will let you have a conversation with Gemini about things you need to troubleshoot about your phone. You can find “Device help” in the “plus” menu in Gemini. It’s at the bottom of the list just above Personal Intelligence.

The caveat, for now, is that this seems to be a limited test and not a mass rollout. Then again, even Google’s mass rollouts take ages to reach everyone, so maybe it’s the start of that. For what it’s worth, it’s appearing in the latest beta (17.52) of the Google app.

The feature has a Labs badge, which signals that it’s still an experiment. The Device help tool can answer questions about your device, adjust its settings, help you troubleshoot issues, and detail Pixel features. Troubleshooting covers connectivity issues, battery life, audio problems, or app performance.

You can also ask it to help you free up some storage or review your storage usage, audit app permissions, manage app notifications, configure app timers, and it can even give you step by step guidance on features, gestures, camera capabilities, and privacy settings.
