Google is unveiling the Pixel 11 family on August 12, and it’s widely expected to also announce the Pixel Watch 5 at the same time. Today a new leak outs marketing materials the company has prepared for the upcoming smartwatch, and these reveal a lot of details about it.

But this leak also brings us pricing for the US, the UK, and the Eurozone, so let’s just start with that.

As you can see, the Pixel Watch 5 will be available in two sizes, 41mm and 45mm, with both Wi-Fi only and LTE versions. Pre-orders are expected to start on August 12 right after the announcement, and the watch will be released “around” August 20.
Compared to the Pixel Watch 4, the Pixel Watch 5 has double the storage (64GB vs 32GB), it runs Wear OS 7 from day one, and it has a slightly bigger battery too (332mAh vs 325mAh for the smaller model, 465mAh vs 455mAh for the larger one). Despite this, Google quotes the same battery life numbers (30h on the 41mm variant, 40h on the 45mm one).
It’s still powered by the Snapdragon Wear W5 Gen 2 SoC, and seems to have the same screen too. On the Pixel Watch 5, Satellite SOS will be included for free for two years from activation. The 41mm Pixel Watch 5 weighs 31g, the 45mm version weighs 36.7g, both without a strap. They are both 12.3mm thick.

The Pixel Watch 5 will be IP68 rated for dust and water resistance, and 5ATM rated for diving. It will support monitoring heart rate, SpO2, ECG, skin conductance, skin temperature, and it also has a built-in altimeter, barometer, and compass, along with dual-frequency GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, BeiDou, and QZSS. Bluetooth 6 and Wi-Fi 6 are on board, as are NFC and UWB. There will be no charging brick in the box.

The Pixel Watch 5 will have Gemini Intelligence on board, and this seems like it will be a big selling point for the watch as well as the Pixel 11 phones. It’s described as “a personal, proactive assistant” which “anticipates your needs and delivers helpful information at just the right moment”. The Pixel Watch 5 will also have loss of pulse detection, including automatically calling for help. Google says the Pixel Watch 5 has its most accurate sleep tracking yet.
