Gurman: iOS 27’s Siri Extensions feature will get its own App Store section

Last week, a report revealed that Apple plans to let Siri connect with third-party AI chatbots through a new ‘Extensions’ feature in iOS 27. Now, additional details about the feature have surfaced.

In his Power On newsletter, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reports that the Extensions feature will have its own dedicated section within the App Store, effectively serving as a marketplace for AI integrations.

Users will be able to browse this section and add third-party chatbots to Siri, enabling them to run directly within the assistant. However, the feature will only work with apps that support these Extensions.

iOS 27, expected to be unveiled at WWDC 2026 on June 8, is also set to showcase the long-awaited Siri overhaul. The stable release will likely arrive in September, alongside the new iPhone 18 Pro models and the iPhone Fold.
