We had the distinct pleasure of attending vivo’s X500 series unveiling in Shanghai, China. If you’ve never been to such an event, it’s pretty nice; the maker usually arranges a bunch of photo opportunities around the location, and vivo did just that. So we went to a couple of places, vivo X500 Pro Max in hand, and took some photos.
We did share a bunch of these pics with you in our hands-on, but we had more, so we’re sharing them as well. This isn’t a detailed review of the cameras of the X500 Pro Max, but more of a chance for you guys to check out the quality.
On the back of the phone, the vivo X500 Pro Max features an impressive triple camera with a 50MP 1/1.28-inch sensor that uses LOFIC (Lateral Overflow Integration Capacitor) technology that promises major dynamic range improvements, sitting behind a 24mm f/1.6 stabilized lens. Then, there’s a 200MP 1/1.4-inch sensor with an 85mm f/2.7 zoom lens, and a 50MP 1/2.75-inch sensor for the 15mm f/2.0 ultrawide. That’s an almost as impressive system as the one on the vivo X300 Ultra, which has the upper hand in the main and ultrawide areas!

And finally, here’s an assortment of samples from the telephoto camera. Pay attention to the focal length – while all photos were taken with the 85mm lens, we did zoom digitally into some of the photos, and there are a few with the teleconverter lenses.
