Last year, Xiaomi launched the 17, 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max in September, while vivo and Oppo came out with the X300, X300 Pro, Find X9, and Find X9 Pro in October.
According to a new rumor from China, Xiaomi will launch the 18 series this September, which is hardly surprising. However, the source claims that vivo and Oppo are also aiming to unveil the X500 series and Find X10 series, respectively, in September too.

That would allow them to better compete with Xiaomi from the beginning. Xiaomi will likely still have a short exclusivity window for using Qualcomm’s latest and greatest chips (the Snapdragon 8 Gen 6 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 6 Pro), just as it has for the past few years. That doesn’t impact that X500 and Find X10 models launching in September, however, if they will go with the MediaTek Dimensity 9600 instead – and historically they have chosen MediaTek’s top dog, so that’s also pretty much a given.
Of course, when any of these devices will be released internationally (and which ones, at that) is an entirely different question. Chinese smartphone makers have always prioritized their domestic market for these launches, so we assume it will at least take a few weeks, if not months, before we see a Xiaomi 18, a vivo X300, or an Oppo Find X10 outside of China.
