Hero Vida VX2 Plus Gets New 4.4kWh Battery – Rs 1.51 Lakh, 187km Range


Hero MotoCorp has expanded the Vida VX2 electric scooter lineup with the introduction of a new VX2 Plus 4.4kWh variant, priced at Rs 1,50,990 (ex-showroom). It’s nearly Rs 20,000 more expensive than the VX2 Plus 3.4kWh variant, which costs Rs 1,30,990. The new Vida VX2 Plus 4.4kWh variant will be available across all authorized dealerships by the end of this month.

The new variant features a larger 4.4kWh battery pack, consisting of two removable 2.2kWh batteries, paired with a 6kW electric motor. It offers a claimed IDC range of up to 187km, and a top speed of up to 90kmph. The smaller 3.4kWh battery pack versions delivers a claimed IDC range of 146km and comes with a 580kW charger. The new Vida VX2 Plus 4.4kWh, meanwhile, is available with a 1kW portable charger.

Using the portable charger, the battery can be charged from 0 to 80 percent in 3 hours 17 minutes, while the full charge takes 5 hours 8 minutes. With a DC fast charger, the battery pack can be juiced up 0 to 80 percent in 65 minutes and a full takes around 2 hours 30 minutes. Similar to the standard variant, the new Vida VX2 Plus 4.4kWh offers four riding modes – Eco, Ride, Sport and Boost.

No design changes and feature upgrade have been made to the new variant. It continues to offer 4.3-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity, OTA (Over-the-Air) updates, call alerts, music control, SMS notifications, My VIDA app integration, turn-by-turn navigation, LED projector headlamp, DRLs, taillamp and turn indicators, flat floor board, grab rail, 12-inch alloy wheels and more.
