HMD is in a weird spot – it had a license to build Nokia-branded feature phones, which was supposed to end in 2026, but the company received a 3-year extension. However, it seems that this extension applies only to some regions.
The company recently unveiled several Nokia feature phones with an AI button. Among them were the Nokia 215 4G (2026) and the Nokia 235 4G (2026). Now an online retailer has listed the HMD 215 4G and HMD 235 4G, which appear to be identical, down to the AI button. The only thing that’s different is that the logo under the display says “HMD” instead of “Nokia” (the phones already had an HMD logo on the back).
There’s more – the HMD 3210 appears in Scuba Blue and Grunge Black, while previously we had only seen it wearing the FC Barcelona team colors. Strangely, while the model name is listed as “HMD 3210”, the logo in the image says “Nokia” – and a Nokia 3210 in these colors is nothing new.

Again, as far as we can tell, these are not new phones, just new branding for existing models – it seems that the Nokia brand license extension does not apply to Europe.
