Honda Cars India has released the first teaser image of the upcoming Honda ZR-V hybrid SUV ahead of its launch on May 22, 2026. The teaser reveals the SUV’s front fascia, featuring the Honda logo at the centre, sharply designed LED headlamps with L-shaped LED DRLs, a raised bonnet and roof rails.

Design Highlights
The design and styling of the India-bound ZR-V are likely to be similar to the global-spec model, as the SUV will come via the CBU (Completely Built Unit) route. Upfront, the SUV features a large upright grille with a mesh pattern, slim full-LED headlamps with integrated DRLs and sporty bumper with air intakes.
The side profile has a coupe-like appearance with elements such as a slightly sloping roofline, strong shoulder crease, pronounced rear haunches and 18-inch alloy wheels. At the rear, the Honda ZR-V features a wide horizontal LED taillamps, sporty bumper, integrated roof spoiler and dual exhaust finishers.
Interior & Features
Similar to the global-spec version, the India-bound Honda ZR V is likely to feature a Civic-inspired dashboard with honeycomb mesh strip hiding the AC vents, a free-standing touchscreen, a fully digital instrument cluster and minimalistic switchgear.
The cabin uses soft-touch materials across dashboard and door pads, while leather upholstery is reserved for top trims. Other key highlights include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a powered driver’s seat, dual zone climate control, a 360-degree multi-view camera, vehicle stability assist, reverse camera, front and rear parking sensors, multiple airbags and an ADAS suite.
Hybrid Powertrain Specs
In India, the Honda ZR-V is expected to be offered a 2.0L, four-cylinder Atkinson petrol engine paired with Honda’s e:HEV strong hybrid system. This setup delivers a combined power of 180bhp and 315Nm of torque. Transmission duties are taken care of by an eCVT single-speed gearbox.
Globally, it’s available with both FWD and AWD configurations, depending on the market. The hybrid powertrain has a claimed combined fuel consumption of around 5.7-5.8-litre/100km, which translates nearly 17-18kmpl. The SUV accelerates 0 to 100kmph in 7.8- 8 seconds.
