Following its announcement last week, Honor opened up the first round of open sales for the Robot Phone in China.
The highly anticipated smartphone with a 200MP gimbal camera is now available from Honor’s official online store and partnering retailers with a starting price of CNY 9,999 for the 12/512GB trim. Based on today’s exchange rates, that amounts to about $1,483 or €1,281. Honor is also offering a 16GB RAM and 1TB storage version for CNY 12,999 ($1,928/€1,666).
Honor confirmed the Robot Phone won’t be available for purchase outside its homeland even though last week’s event was billed as a “global launch”. It seems likely that this first generation will also have a rather limited supply in China.
