Honor shows off ARRI Look Cinematic Video filters for the upcoming Magic9 series

Honor partnered with German camera maker ARRI and has been really leaning into the cinematography connection to build buzz for the upcoming Magic9 series. For example, the Honor Magic9 Pro Max made a public appearance at the 83rd Venice Film Festival.

It’s only natural for Honor to leverage this partnership further and together with ARRI, it has built a collection of filters called “ARRI Look Cinematic Video”. These can be applied with a single tap and alter the color grading of the phone’s camera to match that of one of several ARRI cameras. Additionally, the user can adjust the color temperature of the video.

The video demo stars actor Xiao Zhan, who is the global ambassador for Honor flagships.

Anyway, Honor will unveil the Magic9 series on September 28. The Pro Max model will feature two 200MP cameras (1/1.28” sensor in the main, 1/1.4” in the telephoto) and will support a new 500mm teleconverter kit in addition to the existing 200mm kit. Honor is also working on a Super Edition phone with an 11,000mAh battery.
