Honor X80 Pro Max to take peak brightness to five digit territory

The upcoming Honor X80 Pro Max will not only have the brand’s biggest battery so far at 11,000 mAh, but according to a new rumor from Digital Chat Station on Weibo, this device is also likely to break the peak brightness record.

According to DCS, it will be advertised to have 10,000-nit peak brightness, which is on another level. It’s not very useful, however, since it can technically only apply to one pixel somewhere on the screen, but it’s definitely the biggest such number we’ve seen so far.

Thankfully, DCS says the full-screen brightness will also be very high, providing excellent outdoor legibility even on the brightest of sunny days, and that’s certainly welcome and more useful to most people.

The Honor X80 Pro Max is rumored to become official later this month with a 6.8-inch 1280×2788 screen, the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 SoC at the helm, a 50MP rear camera, 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, great dust, water, and drop resistance, and “flagship-level” biometrics.
