Huawei has brought two tablets to India and neither one of them is new. But they are cheap, while offering 11-inch class displays with Huawei’s advanced eye care system.
The Huawei MatePad 11.5 (2025) has an 11.5” PaperMatte LCD. The technology significantly cuts down on ambient light reflections (down 60%) and nearly eliminates light interference (reducing it by 99%). The display has 2,456 x 1,600px resolution (3:2), 120Hz refresh rate and 600 nits of brightness.
This unit ships with a 3rd gen Huawei M-Pencil stylus and a keyboard cover. The keyboard is detachable and can be used wirelessly. There is WPS Office pre-installed for writing up documents, while Huawei Notes helps you organize all your thoughts that you sketched out with the stylus.
Huawei MatePad 11.5 (2025)
The tablet measures 6.1mm thick and weighs 515g (without the keyboard, obviously). Inside is a 10,100mAh battery with 40W charging. The tablet is powered by the Kirin T82B chipset but note that it comes without Google Play. Also worth noting are the four speakers on board.
The MatePad 11.5 (2025) is available on Flipkart for ₹44,000 – this is for a slate with 8GB of RAM and 256GB storage (and no cell connectivity). You can pick between Violet and Space Gray colors.
The Huawei MatePad SE 11 is a cheaper model – Flipkart has it for ₹20,000 for an 8/128GB slate. This one has an 11” IPS LCD, though without the PaperMatte tech. The tablet does offer 4,096 brightness levels up to 600 nits with full-range DC dimming, though. This panel has 1,920 x 1,200px resolution (16:10) and is also equipped with four speakers.
The SE doesn’t have the premium build of the MatePad 11.5 – it’s thicker (6.9mm) despite having a smaller 7,700mAh battery (with slower 22.5W charging). It also doesn’t come bundled with a stylus or a keyboard.
