Huawei Mate XT 2 will be unveiled next month

Huawei has confirmed that its next tri-fold smartphone, the Mate XT2, will launch next month. According to a recent rumour, the upcoming device could feature a different folding mechanism compared to the original Mate XT.

The Huawei Mate XT2 will be unveiled in China on September 7, the company confirmed in a Weibo post. Huawei will also showcase its recently announced HarmonyOS 7 at the event.

While Huawei has yet to reveal any other details, the Mate XT2 is rumoured to feature an inward-folding design.

The foldable could offer both a cover display and a large internal flexible display. A large circular camera module is said to be placed on the center panel.
