Huawei Pura X View unveiled with a 16:9.5 wide display, 7,000mAh battery

Huawei’s rumored non-folding smartphone with a wide aspect ratio is now official. The company has unveiled the Pura X View featuring a wide form factor and a display with a 16:9.5 aspect ratio.

The Huawei Pura X View is the world’s first non-folding smartphone with a wide display. In terms of design, the phone bears a resemblance to the Pura X.

While Huawei has yet to reveal the complete specifications, the Pura X View features a display with a 16:9.5 aspect ratio and a resolution of 2,232 × 1,320 pixels.

The panel is rated to deliver up to 6,500 nits of peak brightness, while the phone offers a 96.1% screen-to-body ratio with 1.05mm-thin bezels.

Another highlight of the Pura X View is its slim profile. The phone measures just 6.68mm in thickness and weighs 201 grams, despite packing a 7,000mAh battery.

The smartphone also features a triple rear camera setup housed in a horizontal, pill-shaped module. It will be available in four color options and with 12GB of RAM, paired with up to 1TB of storage. These are all the specifications Huawei has revealed so far.

Interested buyers can pre-reserve the Huawei Pura X View through the company’s official online store in China. Huawei will reveal the phone’s full specifications, pricing, and availability details on August 28.

According to a Weibo tipster, the phone will come with a 6.39-inch display and a Kirin 9030s chipset. The rear camera setup is said to include three 50MP sensors.
