Huawei unveiled the MateBook Fold Ultimate Design, its foldable laptop, in May last year, followed by the Extraordinary Master Edition a few months later. The company has now introduced the 2026 MateBook Fold, featuring an upgraded chipset.
The 2026 Huawei MateBook Fold Extraordinary Master Edition is powered by the Kirin X90 Plus chipset and can be configured with up to 32GB of RAM and 2TB of storage.
While most of the hardware remains unchanged from last year’s model, Huawei has refreshed the laptop’s design. It retains the 18-inch dual-layer LTPO OLED foldable display that offers a resolution of 3,296 x 2,472 pixels and a 4:3 aspect ratio.
In its folded state, the device has the footprint of a 13-inch laptop and offers a 2,472 x 1,648-pixel resolution and a 3:2 aspect ratio. It also features an 8MP front-facing camera.
The foldable uses a zirconium-based liquid metal hinge that supports multiple viewing angles and also includes a built-in pop-out kickstand on the rear. It ships with HarmonyOS 6.1 and includes a range of AI-powered features.
The 2026 MateBook Fold Extraordinary Master Edition packs the same 74.69Wh battery as its predecessor. Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and satellite communication. It also comes equipped with a six-speaker setup and four microphones.
The laptop is available in Phantom Black, Radiant Gold, and Sky White finishes, all with a vegan leather-finish rear panel.
Pricing starts at CNY 24,999 ($3,700) for the 24GB + 512GB variant. The 24GB + 1TB and 32GB + 2TB models are priced at CNY 26,999 ($4,000) and CNY 29,999 ($4,445), respectively. The 2026 Huawei MateBook Fold Extraordinary Master Edition is already on sale through Huawei’s official online store in China.
