Hyundai Bayon Vs Creta – 5 Things Buyers Must Check Before Choosing

The all-new Hyundai Bayon will go on sale in India on 26th October, 2026. Bookings for the SUV are already underway for a token amount of Rs 11,000 across Hyundai dealerships and on Hyundai India’s official website.

In the company’s product lineup, the Bayon will sit above the Venue and below the Creta. It will be positioned against the Maruti Victoris and Grand Vitara, Kia Seltos, Toyota Hyryder, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, Tata Sierra, Renault Duster, Nissan Tekton and Honda Elevate.

Interestingly, the Bayon will come as an affordable alternative to the Hyundai Creta, while offering five important features that the Creta misses out on. Let’s take a look at each of them.

12.3-inch Dual Displays

Hyundai has equipped the new Bayon with a larger 12.3-inch curved display setup, comprising a touchscreen infotainment system and a driver’s display. The dual screens appear similar to the ones offered in the Venue. Meanwhile, the Hyundai Creta comes with a 10.25-inch curved dual screen setup.

Generative AI Voice Assistant

The upcoming Hyundai Bayon will be the brand’s first model in India to offer a Generative AI-based Voice Assistance. The carmaker says that this system combines intelligence from Perplexity with voice AI technology from SoundHound AI.

Wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay

The Hyundai Bayon offers wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, whereas the higher variants of the Creta come with wired smartphone connectivity. Hyundai also offers an official wired-to-wireless adapter to address the absence of built-in wireless connectivity.

Upgraded ADAS Suite

Hyundai has confirmed that the Bayon will feature the SmartSense Level 2 Pro ADAS, offering 23 features including forward collision avoidance assist direct oncoming, navigation-based smart cruise control zone, navigation-based smart cruise control curve, highway driving assist and more.

The Bayon will also offer 35 standard safety features including a tyre pressure monitoring system, six airbags, rear parking sensors, roll-over sensor, electronic stability control and more. Meanwhile, the Hyundai Creta’s Level 2 ADAS suite offers 19 safety features.

Engineered For 5-Star BNCAP

Hyundai claims that the new Bayon has been designed to meet 5-star Indian safety standards. Based on the Global K Enhanced Platform, the SUV uses 69% Advanced Multi-Grade High-Strength Steel, along with Ultra High Strength Steel (UHSS), Advanced High Strength Steel (AHSS), and High Strength Steel (HSS).

On the other hand, the Hyundai Creta hasn’t yet undergone Bharat NCAP crash tests. It’s pre-facelift version scored 3 stars for both adult occupant protection and child occupant protection in Global NCAP in 2022. The SUV’s bodyshell was rated as unstable.
