Hyundai Joins Hands With Jio-bp; EV Owners Get 37,000+ Charging Points


Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) today announced a partnership with Jio-bp (the operating brand of Reliance BP Mobility Limited, a joint venture of Reliance Industries and bp), a leading provider of EV charging services and solutions, to integrate their respective EV charging networks and enhance charging accessibility for EV users across India.

Through this collaboration, EV customers will be able to discover, access and use Jio-bp pulse charging stations using the myHyundai app, HMIL’s integrated EV charging platform, further enhancing charging convenience and accessibility. With the integration of the Jio-bp pulse network, HMIL’s EV charging ecosystem now provides access to 37,000+ charging points across India, while HMIL’s high-capacity chargers will also be gradually integrated into the Jio-bp pulse charge pro app.

Through the integration of our charging networks, we are simplifying the charging journey and enabling Hyundai EV owners to access a wider network of reliable charging solutions through the myHyundai app. Together, we remain committed to accelerating the adoption of sustainable mobility and delivering greater value to EV users. Additionally, HMIL and Jio-bp pulse will explore opportunities to introduce customer-centric offers in the future, further enhancing the ownership experience for EV customers.”

What does Jio-bp bring to the partnership?

Jio-bp contributes over 7,000 active charging points spread across more than 300 cities, significantly widening the geographic footprint available to EV owners. Many of these are strategically located along major national highways, enabling smoother, more confident long-distance travel. On the technology front, Jio-bp’s charging infrastructure includes high-capacity DC fast chargers ranging from 60 kW to 480 kW, allowing EV users to charge at speeds closer to their maximum hardware potential. Reliability remains a key pillar of the partnership as well, with Jio-bp’s network maintaining a 96% uptime.

How does the myHyundai app enhance EV charging accessibility for customers?

Following its recent announcement of providing access to 30,000+ charging points through the myHyundai app, HMIL has further expanded its EV charging ecosystem through the integration of the Jio-bp pulse network. With the addition of over 7,000 charging points, EV users can now access 37,000+ public EV charging points through the myHyundai app, making it easier to discover and access charging stations across India through a single platform.

Who can access the myHyundai app to use HMIL’s EV charging network?

All EV users, regardless of vehicle brand, can access the myHyundai app to discover and use charging points available on myHyundai app’s EV charging network. The platform enables EV owners across brands to locate, access and utilize public EV charging stations through a single digital interface, helping make EV charging more convenient and accessible across India.

HMIL is also expanding its proprietary charging infrastructure, with 183 DC fast-charging stations currently operational and plans to scale the network to 600 stations by 2030.
