Hyundai’s Victoris Rival SUV Spotted in Clear Images – Launch Soon


 The upcoming Hyundai Bayon midsize SUV is undergoing extensive testing, and here’re the first semi-camouflaged images of the model. Codenamed BC4i, this new SUV will directly compete with the Maruti Suzuki Victoris along with other models in the segment. In Hyundai’s Indian portfolio, it will sit above the Venue and below the Creta, and will be sold alongside the Creta. For a reminder, the Hyundai Creta is set to receive a generational upgrade in early 2027.

Hyundai Bayon SUV in India

The recently spotted model is finished in a Gloden Bronze shade, which is already available on the Exter lineup. The test mule features a slatted grille, LED headlamps in trapezoidal housing and H-styled top-mounted LED DRLs at the front end.  Other design highlights include sporty alloy wheels, pronounced wheel arches, functional roof rails, a shark fin antenna, angular window frames, sporty rear bumper with integrated rear parking sensors.

Expected Features

Spy images reveal that the new Hyundai Bayon SUV will feature a 360-degree camera. Inside, the SUV will have a dual-tone theme along with Hyundai’s new steering wheel with four dots. Expected features include Hyundai BlueLink connected car tech, a large touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, front and rear parking sensors, rear parking camera, leatherette upholstery, multiple airbags and more.

Petrol & CNG Options

According to reports, the new Hyundai Bayon SUV will be offered with petrol and CNG powertrain options. The petrol version is likely to share the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with the Hyundai Creta, while the CNG version is expected to feature an underbody CNG tank. Both manual and automatic gearboxes will be on offer.

Hyundai’s New Compact EV Coming Soon

Hyundai Motor India has also confirmed a new compact electric SUV, slated to debut by March 2027. The upcoming EV will be based on the E-GMP (K) platform and manufactured at the carmaker’s Tamil Nadu facility. When launched, it will be positioned against the Tata Nexon EV and Mahindra XUV 3XO EV.
