iPhone 18 Pro emerges in leaked drop test

In a very un-Apple manner, the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro emerged in the flesh well ahead of its announcement. The yet-to-be-released flagship appeared in a drop test showcasing its design which, as expected, is nearly identical to the iPhone 17 Pro.

There are two videos circulating the web and both showcase controlled environment drops of the iPhone 18 Pro. The videos were shared by @evleaks on X, though it appears that account is not related to Evan Blass, and it has since been suspended.

As for how these videos found their way online. Apple’s manufacturing partner, Tata Electronics, was hit with a ransomware attack, which resulted in a multitude of Apple component design and specs papers being leaked.

According to Reuters News, over 200,000 files were posted on the dark web, so we could possibly get even more leaks in the coming days. Apple has not issued any formal comments on the matter.
