Dummy units have leaked today showing the shapes of the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and iPhone Ultra (which is the name the iPhone Fold is rumored to actually get). The dummy units are created based on CAD renders sent to case makers, so they are usually accurate with the most important details – things like the overall shape and dimensions, as well as the shape and size of the camera islands.
In the family shot above you can see that the iPhone Ultra is missing MagSafe support, which is an interesting omission for sure. We obviously can’t tell if it has wireless charging, just without MagSafe, or lacks it entirely. Anyway, the iPhone Ultra has just two cameras, which may be shocking considering it’s rumored to be the most expensive iPhone in history.
In the image above we see the iPhone 17 Pro Max dummy unit on the left next to the iPhone 18 Pro Max dummy unit on the right. As you can see, the design is unchanged, but the iPhone 18 Pro Max has an obviously thicker camera island. In fact, the iPhone 18 Pro Max’s thickness when including the camera plateau is 11.54mm (up from 11.23mm on its predecessor), and the total thickness when including the cameras as well is 13.77mm, up from 12.92mm on the iPhone 17 Pro Max.
Now let’s take a look at the iPhone Ultra in its unfolded state, comparing it to an iPhone 17 Pro Max. The Ultra’s screen width is basically the same as the Pro Max’s length. The Ultra is said to be 111.5mm tall.
Finally, here’s the iPhone Ultra dummy unit, again unfolded, compared to an iPad mini. The iPhone’s screen is going to be smaller, but since it will have thinner bezels, the difference won’t be very big.

The iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and iPhone Ultra are all rumored to be launching together at Apple’s annual event in September, with the iPhone 18, iPhone 18e, and iPhone Air 2 only arriving next spring.
