iPhone 18 Pro leaks, Redmi K90 Ultra arrives, Week 27 in review

We’re officially in the second half of 2026, and that means we’re inching closer to Apple’s fall launch, where we’re expecting the foldable iPhone Ultra alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max. This week brought more clarity to the battery capacity of the latter, which will reportedly feature a 5,235 mAh cell for the physical SIM version and an even larger 5,425 mAh capacity on the eSIM variant.

It will be the biggest battery ever put in a Pro Max iPhone.

Sustained gaming performance is the name of the game with this one.

Elsewhere, Xiaomi announced its Redmi K90 Ultra in China. It comes with the older Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset at the helm, a built-in active cooling fan and a 6.83-inch AMOLED with a 165Hz refresh rate. In terms of cameras, it brings a 50MP main camera with a 1/1.55″ type sensor and an 8MP ultrawide. It also packs an 8,550mAh battery with 100W wired and 22.5W reverse wired charging. It starts at CNY 2,999 ($441) with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage and is expected to arrive outside of China under the Poco brand.

The device is going to be unveiled on July 7.

Nothing has been teasing its Phone (4b), which is set to launch on July 7. The device will arrive in blue, black and white colors and is expected to carry a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen, Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 SoC, 50MP main cam and a 6,000 mAh battery.

Back to the iPhone 18 Pro leaks, the smaller 18 Pro emerged in a leaked drop test. The video confirms it will feature an almost identical design to the iPhone 17 Pro. We also got word of a potential launch date – September 8.

It unsurprisingly looks a lot like the 17 Pro.

The foldable iPhone is expected to be called the iPhone Ultra.

We’ve previously seen the foldable in a white shade.

The iPhone 18e is missing out on an important upgrade, it seems.

This has been revealed by documents that were stolen from an Apple supplier in a cyberattack.

In addition, we saw dummy units of the iPhone Ultra and came across a report that suggests the 18 Pro series will have Qualcomm modems in the US and Apple’s own C2 modem in other regions.

Is the Galaxy A27 flying too close to better-specced rivals like the Poco X8 or Samsung’s own Galaxy A57?

OnePlus proudly claims the N6 will retain over 80% of its battery health after 7 years of use.

The Samsung Galaxy A27 made its way to our office, and we unboxed it. The OnePlus N6 launched in India featuring a Dimensity 6360 Max chipset, an 8,000mAh battery and an INR 22,999 ($243) launch price.
