iPhone Fold’s US pricing, RAM, and storage details tipped

New details about Apple’s upcoming foldable iPhone have been leaked. The iPhone Fold is expected to be unveiled in September alongside the iPhone 18 Pro lineup.

The iPhone Fold will be available in three storage options, according to tipster Instant Digital on Weibo. The tipster has also revealed the possible pricing for the foldable in China.

As per the tipster, the iPhone Fold will be priced at CNY 15,999 for the 256GB base variant. Meanwhile, the 512GB option is tipped to cost CNY 17,999, and the 1TB model could carry a price tag of CNY 19,999.

If we directly convert the China pricing to USD, the base model would start at around $2,330, which aligns with earlier leaks. However, as per the folks over at Macworld, Apple’s internal currency conversions often differ from standard exchange rates. Therefore, factoring the price difference between the iPhone 17 Pro in the US and China, the iPhone Fold could instead start at around $1,999.

Meanwhile, a report from The Bell has revealed the RAM capacity of Apple’s upcoming foldable. According to the publication, Apple will use DRAM supplied by Samsung Electronics and has placed an order for 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM that will be used on the iPhone Fold.
