The iQOO 16 is rumored to launch in September, and while iQOO hasn’t divulged anything about it yet, reliable tipster Digital Chat Station has shared new details about the smartphone.
In a post on Weibo, DCS said that a smartphone powered by the unannounced 2nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro will feature symmetrical dual speakers (1115 series) and an X-axis motor (0916 series). While the phone’s name isn’t mentioned in the Weibo post, DCS is believed to be referring to the iQOO 16.
The tipster also claimed that this smartphone is tested with a primary camera that uses the 50MP OmniVision OV50Q sensor. The flagship won’t have a cooling fan like the iQOO 15 Ultra, but it will come with a 3D ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, USB 3.2, an “AR film,” an IP68/69 rating, and a dedicated graphics chip, which could be the Supercomputing Chip Q4.

In a separate Weibo post, DCS mentioned three smartphones, believed to be the iQOO 16, Neo12, and a Z12 series device.
DCS claims the iQOO 16 will pack an 8,500 mAh battery with 100W wired charging support. It will also support wireless charging, but it’s unclear how fast it will be.
The other two smartphones are powered by 3nm chips. One of them will pack a 9,000 mAh battery, while the other will pack a single-cell 10,000 mAh battery.
The smartphone with a 9,000 mAh battery is believed to be the iQOO Neo12, while the one with a 10,000 mAh battery is said to be an iQOO Z12 series smartphone. It could either be the Z12 or the Z12 Turbo.
Previous rumors claimed the iQOO Neo12 would come with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC and a 2K display, and that iQOO was evaluating both active and passive cooling solutions for the smartphone.
More details about these iQOO smartphones should surface as we inch closer to their launch.
