iQOO Z11xa launches and it’s a confusing one

After launching the Z11x in India in March, now iQOO has quietly unveiled the Z11xa. Its listing is up on the company’s website for India, and if you want to have some fun, you can try and find out what’s different from the Z11x.

Let us spare you the trouble: nothing. The specs are identical, down to the color variants. However, while the Z11x is available with both 6GB and 8GB of RAM and 128GB and 256GB of storage, the Z11xa can only be purchased with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. That’s the only model, and that is the only difference between the two.

Obviously, we’re left wondering why iQOO decided to launch what seems like an entirely new product (until you look at the specs) just so it can be offered in one of the options the Z11x was already available in. But wait, it actually gets crazier: with the same 8/128GB configuration, the Z11xa is now priced at INR 28,999 (about $306 at the current exchange rate), while the Z11x (which, remember, is the same phone) costs INR 30,999 ($327). Left scratching our heads, we definitely are.

To recap the specs here – both the Z11x and the Z11xa come with a 6.76-inch LCD screen with 1080×2344 resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 1,200-nit peak brightness, a 50MP main camera, a 2MP depth sensor, a 32MP selfie camera, the MediaTek Dimensity 7400-Turbo chipset, and a 7,200 mAh battery with support for 44W fast wired charging and 7.5W reverse wired charging. The software on board is OriginOS 6 based on Android 16.

Thanks for the tip!
