The 2026 Kia Sonet SUV lineup has been further expanded with four new diesel-automatic variants – HTE (O), HTK (O), HTK+ and HTK+ (O) – priced at Rs 9.77 lakh, Rs 10.72 lakh, Rs 11.08 lakh and Rs 11.56 lakh, respectively.
The new turbo-petrol automatic HTK (O) and HTK+ (O) variants are offered at Rs 9.89 lakh and Rs 10.83 lakh. All mentioned prices are ex-showroom. Kia has also introduced a new ‘Magma Red’ exterior colour scheme to the lineup.

With this update, the Sonet diesel-automatic combination has become up to Rs 2.25 lakh more affordable than before. Earlier, the diesel-AT was available only on the higher HTX and GTX+ trims, priced at Rs 12.02 lakh and Rs 14.09 lakh, respectively.
Buyers looking for an automatic gearbox option now have six diesel-automatic variants and five petrol-automatic variants to choose from.
Available Engine Options
The 2026 Kia Sonet is currently available with three engine options – a 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol, a 1.0 turbo petrol and a 1.5L diesel. The NA petrol engine, available only with a 5-speed manual gearbox, delivers a maximum power of 83PS and 115Nm of torque.
The 1.0L turbo petrol motor pushes out a peak power of 120PS with 172Nm of torque. It can be had with either a 6-speed iMT or a 7-speed DCT gearbox. The 1.5L CRDi diesel engine returns a claimed power of 115PS and 250Nm of torque. It’s available with three transmission options – 6-speed MT, 6-speed iMT and 6-speed AT.
