Kia Sorento 7-Seater SUV – Expected Price, Variants, Features & Colours


The Kia Sorento, the premium three-row SUV from the South Korean automaker, is set to hit Indian roads tomorrow (September 4, 2026). It will be Kia’s answer to the Skoda Kodiaq, Volkswagen Tayron and Jeep Meridien. The SUV will also serve as a more affordable alternative to the Toyota Fortuner. While its prices and details will be revealed tomorrow, here’s everything we know about the all-new Sorento 7-seater SUV.

Variants, Prices, Seating & Drivetrain Options

The Sorento SUV lineup will be available in seven trims – HTE, THE (O), HTK, HTK (A), HTX, HTX (A) and Black-line, and two powertrain options – diesel and strong hybrid. The entry-level diesel variant is likely to be priced below Rs 30 lakh, while the strong hybrid variants could be priced around Rs 40 lakh (ex-showroom). The SUV will come with both FWD and AWD drivetrain options, and 6 and 7-seats layouts, depending on the variant.

Colour Options

The new Kia Sorento will be offered in eight colour options, namely, Ivory Silver Gloss, Matte Graphite, Aurora Black Pearl, Pewter Olive, Red, Imperial Blue, Glacier White Pearl and Gravity Grey.

Engine Options

The new Kia 7-seater SUV will come with two powertrain options – a 2.2-litre diesel producing 202PS and 441Nm and a 1.6-litre turbo petrol hybrid generating 240PS and 380Nm. The diesel engine will be paired with an 8-speed DCT automatic transmission, while the hybrid powertrain will be offered with a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
