Last year, Luna introduced its Gen 2 smart ring. Now, the company is launching a major upgrade that will make the ring “the world’s first wearable you can truly talk to.”
In short, you can use voice commands to log events throughout your day – what you ate, what you drank, the supplements that you took, any workouts that you did, even subjective feelings. Previously, you had to pull out your phone to do that. That extra bit of friction could cause you to put it off for later and forget to log important things.
The Luna Ring Gen 2 tracks all kinds of health metrics starting with heart rate and heart rate variability. There’s an SpO2 monitor and a sleep tracker too. A skin temperature sensor enables women’s health and fertility tracking.
And there is a hydration reminder and caffeine window feature that takes into account what you’ve logged. It won’t bother you if you already drank enough water but will remind you if you didn’t.
With Luna Voice, you can track your day and ask health-related questions
Additionally, you can use the voice chat functionality to create a workout and nutrition plan. During exercise you can use the AI Coach for guidance. After exercise, you can chat with the AI about your health based on the data it has collected. One hurdle on iOS is that you have to go through Siri to reach the Luna Voice AI (that’s on Apple, though).
The ring itself has a battery life of 4-7 days, depending on your usage. The charging case extends that to up to 30 days. The ring needs 60-80 minutes in the case to charge and once a month you’ll need to plug in the case for two hours to charge its 580mAh battery.

You can use the ring with Android and iOS devices and there is no monthly subscription. The ring has PVD-coated titanium on the outside (available in four colors) and non-allergenic, non-metallic inner molding (around your finger). It is rated for 5 ATM water resistance (up to 50m).
You can pick up the Luna Ring Gen 2 from Luna’s online store at a price of $330/£300.
“This marks a fundamental shift in what a wearable is. The Luna Ring no longer just measures the body. It understands context, connects daily behavior with biometrics, and communicates back in a way that fits naturally into real life,” said Amit Khatri, Founder at Luna.
