Mahindra & Mahindra has released the first teaser of the upcoming BE 6 Sporteq, which is scheduled to debut on August 15, 2026. It’s expected to be positioned as a new top variant of the electric SUV, featuring a few cosmetic enhancements and feature upgrades.

What Does the Teaser Reveal?
The teaser confirms that the Mahindra BE 6 Sporteq will feature a triple screen setup similar to the XEV 9e. It will include three 10.25-inch displays – a centre touchscreen infotainment system, a digital driver’s display and a front passenger screen. The standard BE 6 comes with a dual screen layout.
With this feature upgrade, the BE 6 Sporteq will rival the newly-launched Tata Sierra EV, which is already comes equipped with a triple-screen layout. The new variant will also offer a redesigned dashboard with red LED elements across the cabin. On the exterior, the upcoming Mahindra BE 6 Sporteq will get a sporty matte black paint scheme.
Battery Options & Range
Mechanically, the 2026 Mahindra BE 6 is expected to remain unchanged. The electric SUV lineup will continue to come with the two LFP (Lithium iron phosphate) battery pack options – 59kWh and 79kWh. These batteries use BYD’s renowned blade cell technology.
The 59kWh variants deliver a claimed power of 228bhp and an ARAI-certified range of 556km. The larger battery pack produces a maximum power of 281bhp and an ARAI-claimed range of 682km. Both battery options offer a peak torque output of 380Nm. Mahindra claims that the BE 6 with 79kWh battery pack accelerates 0 to 100kmph in 6.7 seconds. The EV offers three drive modes – Range, Everyday and Race – along with an additional Boost mode.
Charging Options & Time
Using a standard 11.2kW AC charger, the Mahindra BE 6 can be fully charged in 8 hours/6 hours for 79kWh/59kWh, respectively. With a 7.3kW AC charger, it takes 11.7 hours for the 79kWh variant and 8.7 hours for the 59kWh variant. The electric SUV also supports a 175kW DC fast charger, which can charge the battery from 20 percent to 80 percent in just 20 minutes.
