Mahindra & Mahindra has announced an aggressive product strategy, outlining launch of 16 new model by 2031. The upcoming lineup will include 10 internal combustion engine (ICE) models and 6 electric vehicles (EVs). With a major focus on all-new products, the carmaker has confirmed that 9 out of 10 ICE launches will feature new nameplates.
By the end of FY2026, the indigenous automaker had already achieved more than half of its earlier targets, with 4 ICE and 3 EV launches completed. As per previous plan, Mahindra targeted to introduce 7 new cars by 2030, this has now been expanded to 16 new cars over the next 5 years.
What to Expect?
While the carmaker hasn’t yet shared specific product names and details, the upcoming range is likely to include Scorpio N and Thar 3-door facelifts, both are slated to arrive in the coming months. The carmaker is also developing a new NU_IQ platform-based models. In August 2025, Mahindra unveiled four SUV concepts based on the NU_IQ architecture, namely, Vision X, Vision S, Vision T and Vision SXT.
Mahindra NU-IQ-Based SUVs
The Mahindra Vision S concept-based SUV is expected to join the rugged Scorpio family by 2027. The SUV could be offered with Mahindra’s proven 1.5L, four-cylinder diesel engine, which also powers the XUV 3XO. It’s also expected to be available with petrol and hybrid powertrain options. The Vision X could serve as a design inspiration for the new-generation Mahindra XUV 3XO, while the Vision T is likely to preview an electric version of the Thar.
Mahindra BE.07 Coming in 2027
The homegrown automaker will expand its EV lineup with the production-ready BE.07 in 2027. At launch, the electric SUV will carry a different nameplate and will be positioned above the BE6. In terms of competition, it will take on the Vinfast VF7 and Tata Harrier EV. Similar to the XEV 9e and BE 6, the Mahindra BE.07 will be built on the INGLO platform, and could be offered with battery packs ranging between 60kWh – 80kWh.
