Mahindra & Mahindra recently introduced the XUV 3XO EV in two variants, AX5 and AX7, priced at Rs 13.89 lakh and Rs 14.96 lakh, respectively (ex-showroom). Deliveries of the electric SUV are slated to commenced on 23rd February, 2026. The Mahindra XUV 3XO EV goes head-to-head against the Tata Nexon EV, which is currently available within the price range of Rs 12.49 lakh – Rs 17.49 lakh.

Starting with its powertrain, the XUX 3XO EV features a 39.4kWh battery pack, pushing out a maximum power of 150PS and 310Nm of torque. Mahindra claims a real-world driving range of 285km on a full charge, while the official ARAI-certified range is yet to be revealed. The EV does 0 to 100kmph in 8.3 seconds, and can be charged in just 50 minutes from 0 to 80 percent by using a 50kW DC charger.
On the other hand, the Tata Nexon EV is available with two battery pack options – a 30.2kWh (Medium Range – MR) and a 40.5kWh (Long Range – LR). The MR variant offers a claimed driving range of 325km, while the LR version promises 465km on a single charge. It’s important to note that the real-world range may vary depending on the road, driving and weather conditions.
In terms of performance, the MT variant produces 127PS with 215Nm, while the LR version delivers 142PS and 215nM. The MR and LR variants accelerate 0 to 100kmph in 9.2 seconds and 8.9 seconds, respectively. Using a DC fast charger, the Nexon EV can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in nearly 56 minutes.
