Launched in 2016, the Maruti Suzuki Brezza has completed 10 successful years in the Indian market. The subcompact SUV has maintained its position among India’s top 10 best-selling passenger vehicles for a decade. The carmaker states that “the Brezza’s authentic SUV DNA and feature-loaded cabin have constantly redefined customer expectations with each new model launch.”

A Brief Look at its Journey So Far
Initially, the Maruti Brezza was introduced with a diesel engine only, and received a petrol engine with first facelift in 2020. The SUV entered in its second generation in 2022, followed by a major safety update in 2025. The Brezza has always been admired for its SUV styling, feature-packed interior, strong fuel efficiency and reliable engines. Maruti Suzuki’s brand trust and low ownership cost further make it desirable among buyers. Prices of the subcompact SUV currently start at Rs 8.26 lakh and go up to Rs 13.01 lakh (ex-showroom).
Engine Options
Currently, the Maruti Brezza lineup is available with a 1.5L K15C Dualjet petrol engine, generating power worth 103PS and 139Nm of torque. It can be had with either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed torque convertor automatic transmission with paddle shifters. The SUV offers a claimed fuel efficiency of 17.4-20.15kmpl with manual and 19.8kmpl with automatic gearbox.
Buyers also have a CNG fuel option, featuring the same 1.5L K15C petrol engine with a factory-fitted CNG kit. This setup delivers a claimed power of 88PS and 121.5Nm of torque. It comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox only, and delivers a mileage of 25.5km/kg.
