After multiple delays, Maruti Suzuki’s first electric offering – the e Vitara – has finally gone on sale in India. The EV lineup comes in three trims – Delta, Zeta and Alpha, with prices start at Rs 10.99 lakh (ex-showroom, BaaS). Under the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model, buyers will pay an additional Rs 3.99/km as battery rental. The complete price list is yet to be announced. Bookings are now open for just Rs 21,000.
Warranty & Complimentary Offerings
The carmaker is offering a complimentary home charger and installation worth Rs 50,000, along with free charging for one year. Furthermore, buyers will get an 8 years warranty on battery and a 3+5 years paid warranty on the EV along with a 60% assured buyback after three years.

Maruti e Vitara Battery & Range
The Maruti e Vitara is being offered with two battery pack options – 49kWh and 61kWh. The smaller 49kWh battery pack comes paired with a front-mounted electric motor, generating power worth 144bhp and promising an ARAI-certified range of 440km. The larger 61kWh battery variant offers a maximum power of 174bhp and delivers a range of 543km on a single charge.
The torque for both setups is the same at 189Nm. The lineup gets 2WD (two-wheel drive) system as standard. It’s important to note that the 49kWh battery pack is available only with the entry-level Delta trim, while the Zeta and Alpha trims are available with the larger battery pack.
Maruti e Vitara Charging Time & Options
The e Vitara can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in 6.5 hours for the 49kWh variant and 9 hours for the 61kWh battery pack version using a 7.4kWh charge. The EV also supports DC fast charger and takes just 45 minutes to charge from 10 to 80 percent using a charger of up to 70kW.

Maruti e Vitara Interior & Features
The e Vitara has dual-tone brown and black interior theme with features such as a flat-bottom steering wheel, a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, a wireless charging pad, ventilated front seats, ambient lighting, a fixed glass sunroof, connected car tech, a 10-way powered driver seat, drive modes, siding and reclining rear seats, an Infinity sound system and more.
Maruti e Vitara Safety Features
On the safety front, the new Maruti electric SUV offers 7 airbags as standard along with a tyre pressure monitoring system, a 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors, an electronic parking brake, Level 2 ADAS and more.
