Mercedes GLE & GLS Night Editions Launched; Prices Start at Rs 1.05 Cr


Mercedes-Benz has introduction of the GLE and GLS Night Editions, two exclusive and limited-series models with cosmetic enhancements and bespoke interior. Available in exclusive configurations not replicated on any standard variant, the ‘Night Editions’ are part of a global limited series and will be offered in limited volumes across markets.

What’s So Special?

The Mercedes GLE and GLS Night Editions feature darkened exterior aesthetics and two colour options: Obsidian Black and Alpine Grey. Alpine Grey is exclusive to the Night Edition series. Inside, the Mercedes Night Edition offers black Nappa leather upholstery and Anthracite open-pore oak wooden trim. A Head-Up Display comes standard across both models, while the GLE Night Edition receives AIRMATIC suspension as an additional refinement.

The Mercedes GLE Night Edition is available in two trims – 300d 4MATIC and 450 4MATIC – powered by a In-line 4-cylinder diesel and In-line 6-cylinder petrol engines, respectively. The diesel motor produces a maximum power of 265bhp and 550Nm of torque. It accelerates 0 to 100kmph in 6.9 seconds and offers a top speed of 230kmph. The petrol engine delivers power worth 375bhp and 500Nm of torque. It does 0 to 100kmph in 5.6 seconds and attains a maximum speed of 250kmph.

The Mercedes GLS Night Edition with two engine options – In-line 6-cylinder petrol and diesel. The petrol engine returns a claimed power of 375bhp and 500Nm of torque. The SUV can do 0 to 100kmph sprints in 6.1 seconds, and offers a maximum speed of 250kmph. The diesel engine is good for 362bhp and 750Nm. It accelerates 0 to 100kmph in 6.1 seconds and offers a top speed of 250kmph.

Both Night Editions are available with a 9G-Tronic automatic transmission and feature Airmatic suspension system.
