MG Majestor (Fortuner Rival) – Expected Price Ahead of Launch


Pre-bookings for MG Majestor are currently underway at a token sum of Rs 41,000, while production has already been commenced at JSW MG Motor’s Halol manufacturing facility in Gujarat. The full-sized three-row SUV is set to go on sale in the coming months. With sight on the Toyota Fortuner, Skoda Kodiaq and Jeep Meridian, the Majestor is estimated to be priced around Rs 40 lakh for the base variant and Rs 45 lakh for the top-end trim.

Powerful Twin-Turbo Engine

Under the hood, the new MG SUV features a powerful 2.0L twin-turbo diesel engine paired to an 8-speed torque-convertor automatic transmission and a 4WD (four-wheel drive) system with low range. This engine pushes out a maximum power of 215bhp and 478.5Nm of torque. The SUV offers five driving modes – Normal, Mud, Sand, Rock and Snow along with three locking differentials.

Feature-Packed Interior

The MG Majestor features a premium interior in an all-black theme with contrasting silver trims. The SUV offers a 12.4-inch dual screen setup (one for the infotainment and other for the instrument functionalities), a three-spoke steering wheel, a 12-speaker JBL Studio sound system, a 12-way powered driver’s seat with a memory function, an 8-way powered co-driver’s seat, 64-colour ambient lighting, dual wireless phone chargers, a panoramic sunroof and more.

Safety Features

For the safety provision, the new MG SUV offers 6 airbags as standard along with a 360-degree camera, hill hold and hill descent controls, an electronic parking brake, a tyre pressure monitoring system, an auto dimming IRVM and Level 2 ADAS.

Muscular Design & Strong Road Presence

The MG Majestor offers a commanding road presence with its rugged body built and imposing stance. The front fascia looks aggressive, featuring a massive black grille with a chrome-finished MG logo in the centre, vertically stacked LED headlamps with eyebrow-shaped LED DRLs, a sporty bumper with cladding on the lower section and a silver skid plate.

Other design highlights include 19-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, pronounced wheel arches, rear bumper with black cladding, connected LED taillamps with MG lettering above and exhaust tips on both sides.
