VARANASI: IndiGo Airlines flight 6E-437, traveling from Gorakhpur to Bengaluru, made an emergency landing at Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport on Sunday evening due to a bird strike.LBSI Airport director Puneet Gupta said the Gorakhpur-Bengaluru IndiGo flight made an emergency landing on Sunday evening after a bird hit. Passengers were safely deboarded, and the airline arranged another flight to Bengaluru while the aircraft was being repaired.The pilot of the IndiGo flight, carrying 216 passengers, swiftly contacted LBSI Airport’s ATC after a bird collision and landed the aircraft safely at around 7:05 pm.A technical inspection showed the bird hit caused a dent and minor crack in the aircraft’s nose section. As a safety precaution, the flight’s onward journey was cancelled, and repairs were underway at the airport.
