Motorola didn’t just unveil three new Razrs, it also made the previously leaked Moto G87 official. This device packs the best main camera ever put in a G-series phone.
It’s a 200MP sensor with OIS, and incorporates 2x lossless zoom. There’s also an 8MP ultrawide camera on board, and a 32MP selfie snapper.
The Moto G87 is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 6400 SoC, paired with up to 12GB of RAM. The phone has a 6.78-inch “Extreme AMOLED” display with “1.5K” resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, 5,000-nit peak brightness, and Gorilla Glass 7i on top.
The G87 is IP66, IP68, and IP69 certified for dust and water resistance, as well as MIL-STD-810H certified for durability, including withstanding falls from up to 1.2m. Motorola also promises that the G87 delivers up to 280% “more powerful audio” than its predecessor from its dual speakers.
The device boasts a 5,200 mAh battery with support for 30W wired charging. It runs Android 16. The Moto G87 will be available across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America “in the coming weeks”. Pricing hasn’t been announced at this point. Interestingly, it seems like the phone will be called Moto G Max in some markets.
