Motorola has launched the Edge 70 Fusion in India, featuring the world’s first 50MP Sony LYTIA 710 camera with OIS and motoAI processing. The phone packs a 6.78-inch 144Hz 1.5K AMOLED display, Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, and a 7000mAh silicon-carbon battery with 68W TurboPower charging—all in a 7.99mm slim frame. It runs Android 16 and starts at Rs 26,999, going on sale from March 12.

Motorola has launched the Edge 70 Fusion in India, bringing what it claims is the world’s first 50MP Sony LYTIA 710 camera with optical image stabilisation to the mid-premium segment. The phone goes on sale from March 12 on Flipkart, Motorola.in, and retail stores, with prices starting at Rs 26,999.

The headline camera uses an f/1.8 aperture and motoAI processing for real-time texture, dynamic range, and motion improvements. Pantone validation covers both colour accuracy and skin tone reproduction. Complementing it is a 13MP ultrawide with 120-degree FOV and macro support. There’s a 32MP camera on the front as well. All three lenses support 4K HDR video recording.Design-wise, the Edge 70 Fusion comes in three Pantone-curated colours with a linen-inspired fabric finish, weighing just 193g. The phone is available in Blue Surf, Country Air, and Silhouette. Durability specs include IP68, IP69, and MIL-STD-810H certification.The Edge 70 Fusion features a 6.78-inch 1.5K Extreme AMOLED display that runs at 144Hz with 5200 nits peak brightness and HDR10+ support, protected by Gorilla Glass 7i.The phone runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. It ships with Android 16 out of the box—unusual for this price band—and promises three OS upgrades and five years of security patches.Despite the slim 7.99mm profile, Motorola has packed in a 7000mAh silicon-carbon battery—a chemistry that allows higher energy density without the bulk. The company claims up to 52 hours of battery life and 68W TurboPower charging that delivers a full day’s charge in just 10 minutes.

The Edge 70 Fusion comes in three variants—8GB/128GB at Rs 26,999, 8GB/256GB at Rs 29,999, and 12GB/256GB at Rs 32,999. After a Rs 2,000 instant discount on HDFC and Axis credit cards, effective pricing starts at Rs 24,999. A flat Rs 2,000 exchange bonus applies on all brands. Buyers also get 18 months of Google Gemini Pro—worth Rs 35,100—bundled in.The phone will be available to purchase through Flipkart, Motorola.in, and retail stores starting March 12.
