Motorola Edge 70 Fusion launched in India with a chipset different from other regions

The Motorola Edge 70 Fusion, unveiled earlier this week, made its India debut today. The smartphone comes in Pantone Blue Surf, Pantone Country Air, and Pantone Silhouette colors with three memory options – 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB, and 12GB/256GB, priced at INR26,999 ($295/€255), INR29,999 ($325/€280), and INR32,999 ($360/€310), respectively.

The Edge 70 Fusion will go on open sale in India starting March 12 through Motorola’s official Indian website, Flipkart, and leading retail stores across the country. However, it will also be available for purchase in limited quantities today on Flipkart till 4 PM local time.

The Indian Motorola Edge 70 Fusion isn’t the same as the European version, because the European model comes with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 SoC, while the Indian model is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chip.

Battery capacity is also different: Indian Edge 70 Fusion packs a 7,000 mAh battery, whereas the European model will come with a 5,200 mAh or 7,000 mAh battery, depending on the market.

The rest of the specs and features are the same, meaning you get the Indian Motorola Edge 70 Fusion with a 6.8″ 144Hz 1,272p quad-curved AMOLED display, Android 16, 68W charging, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and IP68 and IP69 ratings.

The Motorola Edge 70 Fusion features three cameras – a 50MP primary (Sony LYTIA 710), a 13MP ultrawide, and a 32MP selfie.
