Bajaj Auto is all set to launch the new Chetak electric scooter on January 14, 2026. The updated model will receive subtle design changes and feature upgrades, while retaining the existing battery options. The 2026 Bajaj Chetak will feature a newly-designed horizontal LED taillamp replacing the existing split setup unit. A few more cosmetic changes are expected.
Variants & Battery Options
Similar to the existing lineup, the new 2026 Bajaj Chetak is expected to come with two battery pack options – 3kWh and 3.5kWh – delivering a claimed range of 127km and up to 153km, respectively.
Currently, the Chetak lineup includes four variants – 3001, 3503, 3502 and 3501 – priced at Rs 99,990, Rs 1.02-1.05 lakh, Rs 1.20 lakh – 1.22 lakh and Rs 1.25 lakh – Rs 1.27 lakh, respectively. While the entry-level 3001 variant offers a top speed of 63kmph, the remaining three variants are capable of attending a maximum speed of 73kmph.
Key Features
Premium features such as a touchscreen TFT dash, smartphone connectivity, sequential blinkers and front disc brake are reserved for the top-end variant. The base variant comes equipped with a basic dash, a simple LCD, hill hold, reverse mode and drum brakes. The electric scooter offers multiple riding modes – Eco and Sport with TecPac.
