2026 is going to be a big year for Renault India, as the company is all set to revive the iconic Duster brand in the country. Skipping the second-generation model, the SUV will arrive in its third-generation avatar with radical design upgrades, enhanced features and technology, and new powertrains.
The new 2026 Renault Duster will make its India debut on the Independence Day – 26th January. This time, its journey will certainly be challenging with strong rivals such as Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Tata Sierra, Toyota Hyryder, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun and Honda Elevate.

New 2026 Renault Duster – Design Highlights
Aiming to build excitement among buyers, Renault India has released multiple teasers that give us a glimpse of the SUV’s front and rear profiles. The all-new Duster will feature newly-designed headlamps with eyebrow-shaped LED DRLs, a new grille with three air intakes placed below it, roof rails and connected taillamps.
New Renault Duster 2026 – Safety Features
Spy images showed a camera module at the front, hinting at the presence of a 360-degree camera. Interestingly, a radar sensor for ADAS (autonomous driver assistance system) has also been spotted on the windscreen, making it the first Renault car in India to offer this advanced safety feature.
On the safety front, the new Duster will also offer six airbags, tyre pressure monitoring system, electronic stability control, Isofix child seat anchorages and ABS with EBD.
New Renault Duster 2026 – Interior & Features
The new 2026 Renault Duster will come with several premium features including a panoramic sunroof (reserved for the higher trims), a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 7-inch digital driver’s display, ambient lighting, a 6-speaker Arkamys sound system, wireless phone charger, powered driver’s seat, ventilated front seats, a premium audio system, cruise control, keyless entry with push button start and more.
New Renault Duster – Petrol Engines
Official engine specifications are likely to be announced at the debut event. However, the new Duster is expected to be offered with a 1.3L turbo petrol mild hybrid engine producing 156bhp along with a 1.0L turbo petrol engine options. A strong hybrid powertrain option is expected to arrive a few months after the launch of the ICE version.
