The Toyota Innova HyCross was introduced as the third-generation Innova in India in 2022. Unlike its predecessor, it’s based on a monocoque TNGA platform and features a front-wheel drive system along with a strong hybrid powertrain. The model crossed 2 lakh cumulative sales in less than 3.5 years, and becoming the best-selling model in the premium MPV segment. Now, the Innova HyCross is ready to receive its first major update in 2027 and is currently undergoing testing in India.

Minimal Design Changes
The first spy images of the 2027 Toyota Innova Hycross facelift suggest that the facelifted version will feature a slightly revised front fascia. While most design details remain concealed under camouflage, the new model is expected to witness subtle changes on the bumper and grille.
The side profile will remain largely unchanged, retaining the same upright proportions, window line, roof rails and alloy wheels. At the back, the new Innova Hycross is likely to retain the wraparound taillamp. However, the rear bumper, taillamp internal LED signatures and tailgate might see minor changes.
Interior & Features
Interior details of the new 2027 Toyota Innova Hycross facelift are not available at the moment. However, the MPV is expected to come with new interior trims, revised seat upholstery, a redesigned dashboard and more soft-touch materials.
On the feature front, the MPV could get a larger infotainment system with new UI, updated digital instrument cluster, new connected car technology, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, improved audio system and 360-degree camera.
To further enhance its safety quotient, Toyota might equip the new Innova Hycross with an updated Toyota Safety Sense (ADAS) suite.
Same Powertrain Options
Under the hood, the new 2027 Toyota Innova Hycross facelift is likely to feature the existing 2.0L, four-cylinder Atkinson cycle strong hybrid and 2.0L non-hybrid engines. The hybrid powertrain, paired with an e-Drive transmission, delivers a combined power of 184bhp.
The non-hybrid version produces a maximum power of 172bhp and 205Nm of torque. Toyota claims that the Innova Hycross hybrid and naturally aspirated petrol versions deliver a fuel efficiency of 23.24kmpl and 16.13kmpl, respectively.
