Last week a rumor claimed Apple would be replacing the iPhone Upgrade program with a new one called Apple Upgrade. This has now been officially announced by the company.
Apple Upgrade is a new leasing program provided by Klarna. Through it you can get iPhones, Apple Watches, iPads, and Macs. Apple Upgrade is available on the Apple Store online, in the Apple Store app, and at Apple Stores in the US.
It offers 12- and 24-month leases for iPhones and Apple Watches, and 24- and 36-month options for Macs and iPads. The iPhone 17e starts at $17.99 per month, the iPhone 17 at $22.99 per month, the iPhone Air at $28.99 per month, and the iPhone 17 Pro at $31.99 per month.
An iPad mini will be yours from $11.99 per month, an iPad Air from $15.99 per month, and an iPad Pro from $24.99 per month. The Apple Watch Series 11 starts at $11.99 per month, and the Apple Watch Ultra 3 at $24.99 per month. Finally, a MacBook Air can be had from $24.99 per month, and a MacBook Pro from $38.99 per month.
Apple promises you can apply for Apple Upgrade “within minutes” and receive quick approval. All applicants are subject to a soft credit check that won’t impact their credit score. At the end of the lease term, you can upgrade your device to the latest generation, purchase it with a one-time payment, or return it. You can also add an AppleCare plan to protect your device.
