The next-generation Hyundai i20 hatchback is set to make its world debut next month (July, 2026). Ahead of its official unveiling, the carmaker has released the first teaser image showcasing arrowhead-shaped LED headlamps and Y-shaped LED DRLs connected by a sleek LED light bar.
Previous spy images reveal that the 2026 Hyundai i20 will feature a more crossover-ish stance. One of its test mules was spied equipped with 17-inch wheels wrapped in Pirelli tyres. The higher variants are expected to come with the newly-designed alloy wheels.

The new Hyundai i20 hatchback might also get steeper A and C-pillars, sharply rising window lines, revised bumpers, new connected LED taillamps and redesigned tailgate. Dimensionally, the new model could be slightly bigger than the current one.
More Premium Interior
Inside the cabin, the 2026 Hyundai i20 could get a curved display setup similar to the Creta. The hatchback might also receive a new steering wheel, updated connected car tech and an ADAS (advanced driver assistance) suite. Spy shots hint that the new i20 could be offered with front and rear parking sensors along with a rear-view camera.
Same Engine Options
Mechanically, the India-spec new 2026 Hyundai i20 is likely to remain unchanged. The existing 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol and 1.0L turbo petrol engines (available only on the i20 N-Line) will be carried forward. In global markets, the hatchback’s new-generation model could be offered with a new 1.2L turbo petrol and a mild hybrid petrol option.
